Review
Cyborg WarriorsSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Cyborg Warriors is a classic 2D side-scrolling shoot 'em up where you control a Cyborg and fly through a variety of levels swarmed by (weird) alien enemies. Your main goal is to shoot everything that moves towards you and you must at all costs avoid any physical contact with them. Apart from the flying enemy forces there are some ground-to-air missile pods around. The game is really tough to play as everything moves fast and most of the times it's hard to avoid an enemy. More on that, although you can move towards all 8 directions the gameplay area is quite small so it's hard to avoid every enemy plus that your shots are not that powerful to destroy them at once (you need to fire several hits to destroy a single enemy). You must collect tokens that will give you more powerful weapons. Additionally, the game offers a two-players mode! Difficulty aside, Cyborg Warriors is good and one of the very few worthy shooting games released for the BBC Micro and Electron home computers.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics are quite colorful. The sprites (though looking weird) are nicely drawn and the animation is smooth. I was very surprised with the four (4) layers parallax scrolling that adds a lot to the overall visuals. On the other hand, the sound is basic and features in-game shooting sound effects and unfortunately no music.
